Our cooking classes begin not in the kitchen but at the local morning market, where you'll choose fresh vegetables, spices and proteins alongside our host family. Back at Rumah Desa, you'll grind your own bumbu (spice paste) using a traditional stone mortar, and cook over a wood-fired stove the way Balinese families have for generations.
Every class ends the same way — sitting down together to share the meal you made, family-style.
